Online training modules and simulations are now available to the entire campus that will assist in identifying and referring students to appropriate support services on campus.

Senior Brittney Young recently became the newest member inducted into Cheyney University's Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) Communication National Honor Society--Omega Pi Chapter in a Spring 2013 Induction Ceremony. The 3rd annual induction was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 6 pm in Duckrey Social Sciences Building Commuters Lounge. Brittney's parents and several relatives were on hand to witness the communications major take her pledge, light her candle and sign the honorary book.

On Wednesday, March 27, actress Christina Chan will perform “Unbinding Our Lives” at Cheyney University’s Dudley Theatre at 7:30 pm. The solo-performance is presented as part of the 2012-2013 Arts and Lectures Series at Cheyney University. Chan will portray three real Chinese American women from China in the 1800's and their personal stories of being sold into slavery, prostitution, and abandonment in the streets of China, thus shattering the exotic, subservient, China doll image.

Dr. Terry Rodenberg, retired professor of Sociology and Assistant Vice Chancellor of International Studies at Western Illinois University, will present a lecture on “The Negro Leagues and the Desegregation of Baseball - The Rest of the Story" on April 3. Rodenberg's lecture comes just before the release of the movie 42, a biographical film about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play Major League Baseball in the modern era.

This Little Light of Mine, The Stories of Marian Anderson and Leontyne Price, will be performed by soprano Adrienne Danrich at the Marian Anderson Music Center on the campus of Cheyney University on Tuesday March 5 at 7:30 pm. The Cheyney University Student Government Association (SGCA) has organized a "Get on the Bus" program for Feb. 21 to spark a serious discussion of action that can have an impact. The dialog will take place among Cheyney University students about issues which continue to linger in America. It is expected that best practices will be learned and a solid network for ongoing support will be established.
