Dennis White

Biography:

Coach White is embarking on his second season with the Lady Wolves. White played basketball for the Wolves for two seasons under the guidance of Hal Blitman and Charlie Songster. After his sophomore year he transferred to West Chester graduating in 1972 with a Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education. He later went on to earn his Masters of in Health and Physical Education in 1975 from West Chester. White also played two seasons for the Golden Rams and was inducted into the West Chester Hall of Fame in 1994.

White went on to have a very successful career as a teacher and coach in the Unionville Chadds Ford School District. He was employed by the school district for 36 years, 28 as Athletic Director and 32 years as the head girls’ basketball coach. He won over 480 games including five district titles and 15 league championships. He was fortunate enough to coach two high school All-Americans; Peyton Black who went onto play for Duke and Amanda Brown who played at Penn State.

Coach White directed his own basketball camp from 1985 -2004. He gained valuable coaching experience as part of the John Chaney/Sonny Hill Basketball Summer Camp for six years.
