    The National Tenpin Coaches Association Announced 2011-12 All-NTCA Academic Teams as well as honorees. Three Cheyney University bowlers were recognized for their academic achievement. Taylor Billington, Danielle Mines and Janae Silver were honored for having cumulative grade point averages above a 3.40.

    Billington, Mines and Silver represent Cheyney University on the Women’s At Large All Area Academic Team. The trio is part of 11 student-athletes selected to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women’s At-Large Team. The team was voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
