Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CATLA)

Mission

The mission of The Center for the Advancement, Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CATLA) is to support and serve the faculty of Cheyney University, not only in their roles as educators and scholars, but in their lives as human beings. Through a growing range of diverse programs, personalized support services, and the continued development of new opportunities for learning, the Center is dedicated to promoting best practices in pedagogy and serving the needs of Cheyney University’s outstanding teachers. Additionally the Center supports the goals of the Strategic Plan, "Pathways to Excellence".

Purpose

The Center’s purpose is to assist in training workshops, seminars, and conferences to assist faculty in gaining knowledge and skills in the ever changing environment of higher education including but not limited to:

CATLA is funded through a grant from TITLE III
