Imani Johnson, a 2009 graduate of Cheyney University has been named Cheerleading Coach. The former Miss Cheyney University for the 2008-2009 academic year was a two-sport athlete, competing on the tennis team and as a member of the Cheerleading squad.

Cheerleading try-outs are scheduled to begin promptly at 6:00 pm ending at 8:00 pm Monday, April 18-Thursday, April 21, 2011. This is a four day try-out. All hopefuls must wear royal blue shorts, white shirt, white athletic shoes and white socks. Those trying out must also come, “Game-Day Ready” meaning hair done and in full make-up. Please bring your Cheyney spirit, best attitudes and enthusiasm.
