UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OFFERING FALL INTERNSHIPS

The Communications Intern will be responsible for the written content of University College marketing and promotional materials under the supervision of UC staff responsible for Marketing & Communications. The Communications intern will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Graphic Design interns in the development and publishing of the University College newsletter, with responsibility for the written content.  The Communications Intern will be expected to understand and effectively communicate the role, responsibilities, and goals of University College. The intern is expected to be familiar with office software, online tools and be comfortable in an environment with numerous project deadlines.

The Fashion Merchandising Intern will be responsible for the creation and implementation of visual strategies that will improve the look and feel of the Treasures for Success clothes closet.  The intern will assist the Center for Career & Professional Development with the daily operations of the clothes closet. The intern will be responsible for maintaining inventory through the design of a marketing campaign to solicit donations from Cheyney University faculty and staff and through targeted communication and relationship building with retail stores that will lead to donations to the closet. The intern will also be responsible for the organization, design and upkeep of the closet to enhance the experience of students. The Fashion Merchandising Intern will be expected to be familiar with office software, online tools and be comfortable in an environment with numerous project deadlines.  

 

The Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for the design of promotional materials for print and web for University College. The intern will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications interns in the development and publishing of the University College newsletter, with responsibility for design and layout. The Graphic Design Intern will be expected to understand and effectively communicate the role, responsibilities, and goals of University College. The intern is expected to be familiar with office software, online tools and be comfortable in an environment with numerous project deadlines.

 

The Marketing Intern will perform marketing support for various units of University College under the supervision of UC staff responsible for Marketing & Communications. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the creation of a marketing and communication plan for the department, the creation and distribution of marketing materials to promote University College activities, and the promotion of the University College Newsletter. The Marketing Intern will be expected to understand and effectively communicate the role, responsibilities, and goals of University College. The intern is expected to be familiar with office software, online tools and be comfortable in an environment with numerous project deadlines. .
