These catering suggestions have been designed as a sampling of what we can offer and assist you in planning your special event. We are more than happy to develop a menu and service to fit your particular needs and make your event a satisfying and memorable experience.
 

Metz Culinary Management and Cheyney University are proud to present this Catering Guide. This guide has been designed to assist you in your planning of special events with flexibility, variety, and quality of service. Although you will find several standardized selections, we will be happy to customize any event for you.

Metz Culinary Management realizes that every party, business meeting, and event needs its own personality and atmosphere. Because of this, our team is trained and prepared to work with you to achieve the right ambience, the perfect menu, and the best setting for your event.

We offer you the following menu suggestions to give you an idea of our catering capabilities. We would also be happy to custom design a menu especially for your tastes; just ask, and our creative culinary team will deliver fresh and exciting ideas.

Getting Started

Once you have reserved your room space, we can begin the process of helping you plan your event. Please call our Dining Services Office as soon as you know you will need our services. We will need your budget/index number or tax-exempt status for privately scheduled parties or meetings. To reserve a banquet or meeting room, please call our Catering Manager by email dininghall@cheyney.edu or phone (610)399-1017. 

Scheduling

For small meetings or beverage services, we require three (3) working days advance notice. For larger events of twenty (20) or more, please provide at least seven (7) working days advance planning, with final menu selections confirmed five (5) working days prior to your event. Ten (10) working days will be required for events of 100 people or more.

Events that occur last-minute require special handling, increased labor costs through last minute scheduling and often higher food cost. To recoup some of these costs, any catering request submitted within less than 48 hours notice will be subject to a 15% surcharge or $25.00 whichever is highest. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Weekend and evening (after 6 p.m.) catering is subject to a 25% surcharge.
