North Carolina Alumni Chapter - Book Award - Applications due January 30, 2012!

                         CU North Carolina Alumni Chapter Book Award - Spring 2012

 

Purpose of the Award – To provide three (3) students with a book award in the amount of $400 for the Spring  2012 semester.  
 
Application Process – Applicants must provide all of the information requested on the application form and return it to the Alumni Relations Office prior to the specified date. Application forms will be available in the Alumni Relations Office and on the University’s website.
 
Selection Process – Applicants must be currently enrolled at Cheyney University and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.   Applications will be reviewed in consultation with the Alumni Relations Office and the North Carolina Alumni Chapter. Applications which are incomplete and/or received after the deadline will not be considered.
 
Payment of Award – The North Carolina Alumni Chapter will send the funds to the Cheyney University Alumni Scholarship Fund where they will be placed in a restricted account for the awards. Once the student recipients are identified, the Alumni Office will advise the Scholarship Committee and Financial Aid Office to set up an account in the book store in each student’s name, and the student will receive a voucher to purchase the books. 
 
Note: Students agree they are required to provide a copy of the receipt from the book store to verify their book purchases or they will forfeit the book award.
