Scholarships for CU Seniors Graduating in May 2012 - apply today!

Attention Graduating Seniors!

If you are a senior graduating in May 2012 and you currently have a back balance or financial stop on your account, please apply for the following scholarships immediately:

· Dolores Andy Scholarship – please complete and return an Alumni Last Dollar Scholarship application to Mr. Greg Benjamin in Biddle Hall, Room 207.

· Thurgood Marshall College Fund Spring ACCESS scholarship – the application is available online at: http://thurgoodmarshallfund.force.com/scholarships/ts2__JobSearch.

(Please be advised that TMCF scholarships are limited to covering costs associated with tuition and fees, on campus room and board and books. The ACCESS scholarship will not repay student loans).

Need-based Scholarships Available for Graduating Seniors - please apply asap!

This year, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund is offering a special Achieving College Completion by Ensuring Scholastic Success (ACCESS) scholarship that is only available to graduating seniors who demonstrate immediate financial need that cannot be met through other avenues.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

* Expected graduation by December 2012
* Minimum 3.0 GPA
* Have an immediate financial need not exceeding $2,200

When applying, students must answer the following essay question- Why do you need this scholarship and how will it help you achieve your educational goals?

Required Scholarship Documents:

* Essay (Minimum 250 words)
* Unofficial Transcript
* Letter of Recommendation by university faculty or staff
* Student Aid Report (FAFSA)
* Scanned copy of TMCF's financial need verification form (attached)

A scanned copy of TMCF's financial need verification form must also be uploaded in the field for the 2nd Letter of Recommendation.
