SCHOOL OF EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
The mission of the School of Education and Professional Studies is to prepare students for graduate and professional school, and careers in education, business, fashion management, hospitality and restaurant management, as well as recreation and leisure professions in a highly technological society. Students will gain the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for developing as professionals through real world experiences in their chosen fields. The School consists of three departments: Education and Leadership Studies; Hospitality and Recreation Management; and Business Administration.
Students may pursue majors in the departments leading to the Bachelor of Science degree which prepares them for the direct workforce, or more advanced studies in their chosen careers. In addition to the majors offered in the School of Education and Professional Studies, students have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, and participate in research, internships, and other academic enrichment programs on and off campus.
The primary goal of the School of Education and Professional Studies is to provide students with a high quality education that enables them to have successful careers, pursue graduate or professional education and have a positive impact on society.
