More than 100 alumni gathered for the President's Legacy Brunch at Ada Georges Dining Hall on Sunday, October 20. Barbara Daniel Cox '66 served as Mistress of Ceremonies, and Elisha Morris '82, gave the invocation. Solos by Paul Turner '62, including Great is Thy Faithfulness, were accompanied by pianist Alfred Pollitt. The morning was brightened with a visit from the newly-crowned Mr. and Miss Cheyney University, Mr. Rashaad Washington and India Marie Cross, Class of 2015.

The Cheyney University 2013 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees were recognized at a banquet planned in their honor on October 18 and in front of the crowd attending CU's homecoming football game in O’Shields Stadium the next afternoon. The committee chairs were Don Hackney and Greg McNeil.

The Cheyney University National Alumni Association hosted the annual Life Members Luncheon on Friday October 18 at Carnegie Hall. Cheyney University National Alumni Association's Maxine S. Coleman, Class of 1965, was Mistress of Ceremonies. Fourteen honorees were recognized.

2013 Homecoming Celebration - 176 Years - The homecoming committee has made exciting plans for the reunion and invites you to come for a weekend full of fun with your friends this October. Some events need advanced reservations. This year's Homecoming Week events start on Wednesday, October 16 and end on Sunday, October 20.

The 175th Homecoming festivities continued on Sunday morning at the President's Legacy Brunch at Ada Georges Dining Hall. More than 100 Alumni gathered at the annual event that wrapped up the 2012 Homecoming activies. Barbara Daniel Cox '66, served as Mistress of ceremonies, and Paul Turner '62, gave the invocation. The Barbara Walker Story provided musical entertainment.

Saturday October 20 brought bright skies and big crowds to Cheyney University's campus for a huge homecoming celebration of the 175th anniversary of its founding. While week-long festivities brought many back to their alma mater, the University's traditional parade and football game are always the big draw.

Cheyney University hosted the annual Life Members Luncheon on Friday October 19. Representatives from the Atlanta Metro region, Ohio and North and South Carolina, as well as the Philadelphia area, filled Carnegie Hall. Aside from serving as an annual gathering of loyal alumni, the occasion serves as a way for the University to acknowledge its appreciation to the dedicated alumni who are so generous in supporting students and programs at Cheyney University.

On the eve of Cheyney University's 175th Homecoming Weekend, a debut fashion show is planned for Friday, October 19 at Cope Hall. Starring "Originale" garments by the fashion club L'Originale and special guest designers, live performers, and a special tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness, the evening has been organized by Jamal Morrison.

CU grad, Cedric Perry, Cheyney University author and the creator of two web shows, “Pick 6” and “We’re Just Talking,” came back to campus to film a live taping of "Pick 6," a show he created in 2009 for a college-audience. “Since this is the 175th anniversary of Cheyney, I decided that the theme for this show will be “Reasons We Love HBCUs, ” explained the budding television producer.
