Welcome to The Grille @ Cheyney, Cheyney University’s Hotel, Restaurant, & Tourism Management (HRTM) food and beverage learning laboratory. Our restaurant, The Grille @ Cheyney, enables students to practice basic cooking skills, sanitation, quantity food production, menu planning, catering, service, marketing and management techniques in both front and back of the house operations. The Grille @ Cheyney also provides a Field Experience internship for Cheyney students.
The Grille’s seasonal menu offers American regional, international, and spa cuisine. In an ever-changing world, our crew strives to understand the demographics and tastes of potential customers and to continually meet their needs through creative menu planning.
Located on the second floor of the Harris Turner Building, The Grille @ Cheyney is a flexible, 50-seat restaurant. The menu and operations are planned, prepared, served, and managed by students under the tutelage of Chef Christine Amarosa Neugebauer, CEC, AAC, HOGT. Her chef and cooking experience includes restaurants in private and corporate sectors, casinos, catering, contract catering, cafeterias, fine dining and quick service operations. She was on the food and beverage opening teams of two Atlantic City casinos and a Philadelphia hotel. She has taught at several local culinary schools.
The Grille is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm when school is in session. You can also check out The Grille's Facebook page--The Grille @ Cheyney-- for daily specials.
To place an order for delivery, please call 610-399-2331. Deliveries begin at 12:15 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. You can also dine in on Mondays and Wednesdays. Reservations are encouraged.
