The Department of Hospitality and Leisure Studies is a Bachelor of Science degree program preparing students for our ever-changing global society. Through extensive programmatic offerings, learning activities, innovative approaches to hands on learning, internships, research opportunities, special programs, and events the Department of Hospitality and Leisure Studies provides a dualistic teaching method as students discover new intellectual interests that foster lifelong learning.
Courses in the Department of Hospitality and Leisure Studies combine critical thinking and social awareness with practical skills in communication and technology as well as oral, written, and artistic expression helping students realize their full potential of academic excellence. The variety of majors and minors available in the department enables students to combine programs that qualify them for careers, graduate school, enhancing the quality of their lives, and preparing students to become creative and contributing members of society.
