head bowling coach - pt
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania seeks qualified applicants for a part-time Head Bowling Coach (50%). Annual salary $15,500.
Cheyney University is a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (EPMIBC).
The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
-Coaching the sport of bowling and developing a team cohesiveness that reflects the pride of Cheyney University.
-Recruitment and assessment of appropriate student-athletes with the academic background and athletic talent needed to be competitive in a NCAA Division II program within the Eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (EPMIBC).
-Monitoring budget
-Distributing practice and recruiting area assignments
-Attending department meetings
-Scheduling of opponents
-Awarding athletic scholarships and determinig eligibility
-Handling facility requests for competition, practices
-Overseeing major repairs and equipment purchases
-Manage game administration
-Coordinate team travel
-Assist in the coordination of fund-raising activities
-Advising student-athletes.
Education, Skills and Training:
Bachelor's degree, coaching and recruiting experience, and knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. Must be a USBC certified coach at the silver level or higher
