The Keystone Honors Academy (KHA) at Cheyney University seeks a highly motivated individual to further the mission and to reinforce the strength of the Academy by providing special project support to the Dean. This Grant Funded Program Coordinator will support student development through special projects designed to help students expand intellectual interests and foster lifelong learning. The Academy takes a holistic approach to student development, and seeks to graduate students who are academically accomplished, visionary leaders and responsible citizens. This position is classified as a Grant Funded Program Coordinator (GFPC 2) in the SCUPA bargaining unit at $45,027/yr plus university benefits.

The position is 100% grant funded.

Essential duties and assignments include:

*Coordinate and promote the Keystone Special Enrichment series events, as well as assist with coordination of Honors Convocation to Commencement exercises.
*Aid the Dean in developing and facilitating programs designed to support student retention and to further enhance the scholarly environment on campus.
*Develop and coordinate a student peer-mentoring program incorporating best-practices and student feedback.
*Assist with grant development and reporting of grant funded programs within the Academy
*Collaborate with Residence Life staff to identify models for retention programs designed for learning communities focused on academic enrichment.
*Coordinate special enrichment programs to promote lifelong learning such as Graduate School Fairs, Graduate Exam Prep Sessions or professional networking opportunities.
*Monitor project or event budget and insure compliance with University operating and procurement procedures.
*Coordinate logistics for special events and develop a calendar of activities for the Living Learning Center for next academic year.
*Collaborates with the department of public relations and assist with program marketing via printed materials, newsletter or website updates.
*Draft and proofread communication materials related to special projects for review and approval by the Dean.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree required. Experience in higher education is preferred. Must have strong project management, event planning and student development skills and experience. The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills.
