The School of Arts and Sciences is proud to offer students the opportunity to major in Graphic Design. The graphic design program will expose students to the design principles and technology that are being used in today’s graphic communications as well as a historical backdrop of graphic design. The mission of the graphic design program is to create students that enable students to “plan and execute the design of visual communication according to the needs of audiences and contexts for which communication is intended” (NASAD Handbook 91). This program prepares students for career entry degree program that also will serve as preparation for graduate study in graphic design or related disciplines.
