Mission Statement

The purpose of the University Archives and Special Collections is to promote Cheyney University, the nation's oldest institution of higher learning for African Americans, by acquiring, preserving, and describing historical records, images and artifacts relevant to its past. The University Archives and Special Collections were formally established in 1996.

Access/Usage Policy

The University Archives and Special Collections are open to the public. Please make an appointment. Items on display can be viewed by the public whenever the library is open. Please contact the archivist concerning the availability of books.
