2011-2012 Arts and Lecture Series: NBC's "The Sing Off" Winner "Committed" Performs on March 1

Committed, winner of NBC'S "The Sing Off," will perform at Cheyney University's 2011-2012 Arts and Lecture Series at 7 PM on March 1, 2012. This all-male a cappella act infuses R&B, pop, gospel/soul, jazz, and doo-wop into their music. Tickets are available at www.cheyney.edu
Committed, winner of NBC'S "The Sing Off," will perform at 7 PM in the Marian Anderson Music Center at Cheyney University on March 1, 2012.
This all-male group was founded in 2003 by four high school students at Forest Lake Academy. The group stayed together as they progressed to Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama (birthplace of a cappella greats Take 6). A versatile a cappella act, Committed infuses R&B, pop, gospel/soul, jazz, and doo-wop into their music.
The Arts and Lecture Series provides an array of programs for the Cheyney University community and campus guests. The series is intended to further enrich the cultural experience on campus. The Arts and Lecture Series is sponsored by a grant Strengthening Historically Black Colleges and Universities (Title III).
All Cheyney University faculty, staff, and students have free admission with ID to all of the events. Guests are welcome, and tickets are available for purchase.
