The Cheyney University Spring 2013 Entrepreneurial Leadership Center Lecture Series offers an opportunity to learn from the experts how to develop a successful business. Aspects of Innovation will be offered in six programs at the in the New Residence Hall 1st Floor Conference Room at 4 pm. All programs are open to the public and are free of charge.
“Social Media Marketing” is the topic at 4 pm on Wednesday, March 27. Presenter Melody Franklin will share the benefits of social media marketing and discuss things to avoid when using this new innovative marketing strategy for your business. Ms. Franklin is the CEO of The Execution Group which specializes in areas of creating brand awareness through digital strategies and social engagement. The event was rescheduled from a previous date due to weather conditions.
The Spring 2013 series concludes with the 4th Annual Entrepreneurial Leadership Business Plan Competetion on Wednesday, April 24. Special guest, Warren Brown will be the keynote speaker, "From the Courtroom to the Kitchen.” Mr. Brown will share his story of leaving a career as litigator for the federal government to start his bakery, CakeLove, in 2002. The inspirational entrepreneur has been recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit by a number of local and national media outlets including the Oprah Winfrey Show and the Today Show.
