Cheyney University alumnus Pierre Campbell spoke to the members of the Cheyney University football and volleyball teams during their pre-season camps. Campbell's message was simple enough -  "Believe in yourself."
Speaking from his book Simple Intelligence, Campbell got the audience to take hold of his message. Simple Intelligence is the tool he uses to help people think positively about their circumstances.  "You need to discover your purpose and do what you love to do," Campbell told the players. "My dream is to have Simple Intelligence be synonymous with common sense."
"I think my coaches and the team really got something out of meeting with Pierre. He is one of them. He played football here (at Cheyney) in the late 90s," commented Head Football Coach Ken Lockard. "His message of believing in themselves and their teammates resonated with them."
"Pierre's motivational speech brought back the fire that was in my heart,"  stated student-athlete Julian Feggins.  "I was doubting myself. He told me I that I was good enough and so was the team."

Campbell is a leadership coach for companies who want to maximize their team's potential. He develops leaders, managers and athletes by instilling a heightened sense of confidence in them while honing their ability to work effectively in teams through self-awareness, self-exploration and acceptance.
