Cope Hall recently served as one of three sites for the 6th Annual Philly Triple Threat Summer Tip-off Tournament.

The tournament featured some of the best club teams from the region with more than 70 teams competing from Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Three local colleges were used to ensure that the tournament finished within two days. Players were competing within age groups 10 – 17.

The tournament did not disappoint as many of the games were competitive. Eric Worley, Director of the Philly Triple Threat, was extremely grateful to Cheyney University for opening its doors and making the participants and fans fell right at home. He went on say "Coach Kyle Adams and his staff did an excellent job handling all of the operational aspects throughout the weekend. Several parents and players commented on the warm welcome that they received while at Cheyney. It felt good to bring some exposure and support to the campus of an HBCU."
