CU's Gardner & Garcia to Play in Dream Bowl II - All Star Game

Cutting Edge Sports Management, host of the 2014 Dream Bowl, has announced that standout defensive lineman, Ariene Gardner and linebacker Javier Garcia of Cheyney University, have accepted an invitation to Dream Bowl II.
The second annual Dream Bowl will be played January 20, 2014 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, VA. The College Football All-Star Game is a showcase of the best NCAA players from across the country. The game and the series of events held over Martin Luther King Weekend is a celebration of the excellence, commitment, and sacrifice made by the players and their families. College scouts from the Oakland Raiders and several CFL scouts will be on hand to watch the best players go through an NFL–style combine and to play in this year's game.
Gardner had a dominating season on the defensive line for the Wolves this past season. He totaled 52 tackles including 9 sacks for the Wolves' defense. His stellar play earned him a place on the All-PSAC 1st Team defense. His 9 sacks totaled 50 yards lost for opposing offenses. He also had 9 tackles for loss and a forced fumble on the season. In the season opener against Lincoln, Gardner set the tone for the year with 6 tackles including 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks.Two weeks later against Lock Haven, he had 7 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
Garcia dominated from his outside linebacker position earning him a place on the All-PSAC 2nd Team All-Defense. He showed off his all-around defensive game all season totaling 104 tackles, 3 sacks, 8 pass break ups, and an interception. In addition, his jarring tackles led to Garcia leading the nation with 8 forced fumbles. His speed also allowed him to get into opponents' backfields and totaling 15 tackles for loss. In his final college game for the Wolves, Garcia amassed 12 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in helping to hold Seton Hill to only 296 yards of offense.
