Cheyney Finishes Fourth at State Bowling Championship

Danielle Mines led the Lady Wolves to a fourth place finish at the 2011 Pennsylvania State Bowling Championship. Cheyney hosted the fever ever state championship at Devon Lanes. Mines averaged 173.2 over the weekend.
In Sunday’s baker matches, Cheyney defeated Lincoln 4-1 and Penn State Altoona 4-2. The Lady Wolves also dropped four baker games to Kutztown.
For the Championships, Cheyney was 4-3 overall with a pair of victories over arch rival Lincoln and two victories over PSU Altoona.
Janae Silver averaged 150.6, Destinee Bennett averaged 141.2, Manoucheca Julce 133.4 and Dejaniarah McIver 111.
Kutztown defeated St. Francis in the finals. Penn State Altoona placed third while Lincoln rounded out the field.
