Cheyney Foundation Supports Athletics

A generous donation of $ 15,000 by the Cheyney University Foundation has enabled the Athletic Department to purchase a set of new hurdles to be used by the women’s track team as well as 30 new football helmets.

“We are very fortunate to have David Alston, President of the Foundation to support us. This year the Cheyney Foundation purchased new hurdles for the women’s track program and 30 new helmets for the football team. Their support continues to take our programs to the next level,” stated Athletic Director Ruffin Bell.

The Cheyney Foundation promotes the mission and advancement of Cheyney University through the granting of funds in support of scholarships, faculty development, facilities maintenance, and institutional programs. The Cheyney Foundation has been steadfast in its support of the university's fund raising initiatives.
