Cheyney University sent all of their field events to Widener along with some runners while other runners headed to Manhattan for the New Balance Invitational.
On the women’s side at Widener, Ayasha Lyke placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 4.34 m.
Natasha Lyburn registered a 9.74 m mark in the shot put which was good enough to place seventh.

Jasmine Pitt clocked a 3:59.29 in the 1000 meters.
In Manhattan, Simone Carter posted a 7.82 in the 60. “Simone had a heavy training phase over the last two weeks as we are focusing on the NCAA’s and PSAC’s at the end of the month,” commented head coach James Williams. “She really didn’t have her legs under her this weekend. She is racing mainly for reputation these days as we are gearing up.”
Jasmine Carter ran a 7.97 in the 60 meters bettering her previous time of 8.06 from last week. “She is now moving into the tip tier of women PSAC sprinters.”
