Cheyney University Head Football Coach Ken Lockard Participates in Marine Officer Training

Cheyney University Head Football Coach Ken Lockard  participated in Marine Officer training hosted by the Marine Corps Recruiting Command ( MCRC) at Quantico, VA  from June 24 – 28.

The  program was part of the MCRC Educators' and Key Leaders' Workshop, which highlights the education and training men and women undergo to become Marine Officers capable of leading Marines in combat.
 
The workshop participants  had a broad range of activities. Highlights included combat leadership skills while practicing patrolling with lieutenants; viewing a Sunset Parade at the Marine War Memorial in Washington, D.C.;  tours of the Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1) and the President's squadron, and training at the Officer Candidates School, among others.
