Concert Choir, Student Soloists and University Chamber Singers Perform in Winter Choral Concert

The December 4 Winter Choral Concert presented by the Cheyney University Concert Choir featured  the Concert Choir, student soloists and the newly formed Cheyney University Chamber Singers. The  performance included music by living African-American composers including Adolphus Hailstork (faculty of Old Dominion University, b. 1941), Carlos Simon (Morehouse alumnus/faculty, b. 1986), and Robert Grant (Wilberforce University alumnus, b. 1985) as well as standard repertoire by Randall Thompson and R. Nathaniel Dett. The concert will close with George F. Handel’s most famous "Hallelujah" chorus from Handel's “Messiah.”
