Curry Back in Camp

Former Cheyney University standout Dominique Curry signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. Curry, who played for the Wolves transferred for his final year of eligibility to California (PA).
Curry joined the NFL in 2010 as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams. He appeared in two games his rookie season. In 2011, he appeared in all 16 games recording 10 tackles as a member of the special teams unit.
Since adding Curry to their 90-man roster, the Lions have 13 wide receivers on their roster. The majority of who are competing for the fifth and final wide receiver spot. Curry will also have a shot to make the club as a member of the Lions special teams.
NFL rosters can stay at 90 until the third pre-season game.
Should Curry make the squad, fans will be able to see the former three sport athlete on October 14. The Lions will be playing the Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 pm.
