DeJesus Leads Cheyney

Aerie Dejesus scored a team high 14 points and was credited with six steals but it wasn’t enough as Cheyney (0-9:0-6) fell 68-45 to Clarion (2-6:2-4).

Clarion jumped out to a 17-5 lead through the first nine minutes but the Lady Wolves rallied going on an 18-4 run to take a short lived 32-21 lead with 3:30 left in the first half. Dejesus scored nine of points during that span. However, Clarion would take a slim one-point lead into the locker room.

The Eagles would explode going on a 30-3 run to start the second half and put the game out of reach. Cheyney struggled shooting the ball in second half going 6-31.

Cheyney will end the year hosting Virginia State on Friday at 5:00 pm.
