Garrison Places 20th to Lead Cheyney

Diane Garrison placed 20th at the Belmont Classic to lead Cheyney University to an eighth place finish. Garrison, only a freshman, completed the three mile track in 25:21.32.

Teammates Jasmine Pitt and Veronica Sweet placed 32nd and 33rd respectively in times of 27:23.14 and 27:26.49.

“I love how the women work together and compete against each other at the same time, that's what you want to see during this phase of the year,” stated Coach Williams.
