Cheyney's Mike Drinks gets a career high 16 points

Cheyney University's Mike Drinks led a trio of Wolves tallying double figures with a career high of 16 points. Deshawn Curtis and Calvin Brown added 12 and 10 points respectively. Lock Haven (12-6:5-3) defeated Cheyney (2-16:2-6) 75-67 on the strength of shooting 56% from the field (23-41).

The Wolves jumped out to an 8-0 lead thanks to back-to-back three-pointers by Drinks and a dunk from Brown. However, the Eagles came back to knot the game at 15. With the game tied at 19, Lock Haven went on a 7-0 run to take their biggest lead of the half. Cheyney was able to cut the deficit to one, 31-30, but the Eagles ran off the final six points of the half to take a 37-30 lead into the locker room.

On several occasions the Wolves were able to cut the lead to four points but could not get any closer. Nursing a five point advantage 50-45, the Eagles went on a 17-7 run to extend the lead to 67-52 with 3:35 to play. Cheyney would answer with a 7-0 run of their own capped by another pair of Drinks three-pointers. However Lock Haven converted 8-10 free throws down the stretch to preserve the victory.
