Kyra Hines Allen and Lachelle Miller paced the Lady Wolves with 12 and 13 points respectively but it wasn't enough as Cheyney (0-3:0-2) fell 76-68 to Shippensburg (4-1:2-0) in Women's Basketball action.

While leading by two, 62-60 with four minutes to play, the Red Raiders went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to secure the victory. Cheyney was able to cut the lead to six in the final seconds but Ship secured the victory making four of four foul shots in the waning seconds.
The game was a back-and-forth affair with neither team holding more than a four point lead until the final three minutes. The Wolves were up by as many as four on several occasions in the first half but settled on a 37-36 advantage at intermission. The contest featured 14 ties, the latest coming at the 7:44 mark of the second half.
"I'm really proud of the effort today," commented rookie head coach Kyle Adams. "After the West Chester game we challenged our kids to respond. I felt like our kids played with great pride for our program and institution today. We have to do a better job of controlling the things we can control, but I'm confident we will continue to improve. I'm enjoying the journey of watching these ladies stretch and grow through this process."
Cheyney shot 47% from the field (14-26), better than all of last season, but the Red Raiders got to the foul line 39 times converting 31 times.
Stephanie Knauer led the Red Raiders with 21 points while Lauren Gold and Sarah Strybuc tallied 18 apiece.
