Lady Wolves Host Fall Basketball Academy

Come join the fun while learning basketball fundamentals skills and teamwork at the Lady Wolves Fall Basketball Academy with the Cheyney University Women's Basketball Program. This league features girls in two divisions - a senior division of sixth, seventh and eighth grade students and a junior division of third, fourth and fifth grade students. The league will offer instruction in team concepts and a controlled game atmosphere. Each team will receive coaching instruction from the Cheyney University Women's basketball staff and players.

“This is a great opportunity for the program (women’s basketball) to give back to the community and build relationships. We are always looking for opportunities get involved in the local elementary and middle schools, stated Women’s Assistant Coach Kyle Adams.

The Lady Wolves Fall Basketball Academy will be conducted on three consecutive Sundays starting October 23nd at Cope Hall Gymnasium on the campus of Cheyney University. Cost is $60.00 per player and $ 50.00 for children of Cheyney University employees and alumni, and can be mailed to the basketball office in advance or paid at the first Sunday. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, pass to a regular season home game, individual attention on fundamentals, and six games.

This academy is expected to sell out! Space is extremely limited.
