Lady Wolves Season Comes to an End

Despite 17 points and nine rebounds from Aerie DeJesus and 11 points from Nadirah Brown, Cheyney fell 71-55 to East Stroudsburg in women’s basketball.

The contest was a back and forth affair in the first half with the Lady Wolves and Warriors each taking turns in the lead. Cheyney led by as many as five points and East Stroudsburg led by as many as seven before settling on a two point advantage at the half.

Early in the second half DeJesus converted a pair of free throws to knot the game at 26. The Warriors would go on a 12-2 run to grab a 38-28 lead with just over 15 minutes to play. A lay-up by Dejesus a minute cut the lead to eight but that would be as close as the Lady Wolves would get the rest of the way.
