Lady Wolves Volleyball Conclude Best Season in Past 30 Years

Cheyney dropped both ends of a twin bill against Kutztown by the identical scores of 3-0 in Volleyball play. However, the Lady Wolves ended the season with five victories - the most the program has earned in at least the last 30 years.

In the first match, Breanna Joseph paced the Lady Wolves with 11 kills off 35 attacks. Kennetha Wallace recorded 15 assists and 15 digs.

In the first set, the Golden Bears scored the final 12 points of the game to cruise to a 25-6 victory. In the second set, Kutztown jumped out to a 5-0 lead en route to a 25-11 win. In the third set, Cheyney jumped out to a 5-0 lead but could not hold on and faltered down the stretch falling 25-10.

In the first match, Avery Hodgson paced the Golden Bears with eight kills.

In the second match of the night, Cheyney also fell 3-0. Lindsay Ashby led the Lady Wolves with 12 kills off 45 attacks and Joseph registered 11 kills off 24 kills. Wallace again led the squad with 21 assists and 12 kills.

In the first set, Kutztown prevailed 25-13. In the second set, with the scored knotted at 11, Kutztown went on an 11-1 run to take control of the set before winning 25-18. In the third set, the Golden Bears led 16-13 and then scored five of the next six points to take a 21-14 advantage before going on to win 25-20.

In the second match, Tori Wakelee and Zandria Zielinski paced the Golden Bears with eight kills.
