M&T Bank Donates Scholarship to Cheyney University's Men's Basketball Program

As March Madness is once again calling together all college basketball fans, Cheyney University extends its appreciation to M&T Bank for its corporate sponsorship of the Men’s Basketball program.  During the season, Hollie A. McDonald, Assistant Vice President of M&T Bank – Concordville, PA office, presented a check to head coach Dominique Stephens and Cheyney University freshmen basketball player Brandon Norfleet, who is also the recipient of the award. 

Cheyney University’s Vice President for University Advancement & External Relations, Nancy L. Jones stated, “The consistent giving each year by M&T Bank continues to enable our student athletes to secure financial assistance and graduate from the University.  We thank M&T Bank for hosting M&T Day when the team played East Stroudsburg University.”

 Brandon Norfleet, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was recognized three times during the 2012-2013 Cheyney University basketball season as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Freshman of the Week.  The Cheyney University Men’s Basketball team finished its season winning its last 5 games against PSAC rivals Millersville, Mansfield, Kutztown, Shippensburg and West Chester Universities.
