Dr. Virgilette Gaffin, Associate Professor of Africana Studies in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Cheyney University, will be the keynote speaker at the Second Annual Dr. Marcus A. Foster Memorial Lecture to be held on Wednesday, February 3 at 12:30 in the Marian Anderson Auditorium. Dr. Gaffin’s lecture,entitled “Reflections on Marcus Foster’s Legacy in the 21st Century," is free and open to the public.

Lugene Kennebrew, a graduating senior expecting a degree in Liberal Studies this winter, approached his instructor to do something very different and creative to showcase his mastery of course content this semester. Banford Poole set a new Cheyney University record in the 300 meter dash, and was among three Wolves to qualify for the PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in February, as the Cheyney University men's track and field squad had a strong showing to open the indoor season at the Jack Pyrah Invitational held at the Haverford College Field House.

The goal was to raise money for a cause that is near and dear to many people's hearts. Virtually every student, staff and faculty member at Cheyney knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer.
