Some professors may be willing to provide students with extra credit for playing The Imhotep Program. Ask them.
The Imhotep Program is named in honor of the Kemetan (Egyptian) multi –genius, Imhotep (He Who Comes In Peace). Imhotep, who was Black, built the first step pyramid in 2630 B.C, was an engineer, mathematician, architect, scribe, and he was the father of medicine. Black students need to learn about Black geniuses, such as Imhotep, from the past to the present. Our students also need to know the importance of spending money with Black businesses. Black businesses need access to larger markets.
Sponsors will be highlighted on the show and in the study booklet that will be distributed to 1,500 students. Sponsors are needed for prizes for The Imhotep Program. No contribution is too small. Examples of prizes are tuition scholarships, book scholarships, computers, printers, office supplies, jump drives, clothing (including suits, belts, ties, coats, etc.), shoes, airline tickets, vehicles, vacation packages, gift cards, money, etc. Sponsors may make their tax deductible donations on line or by check.
Checks should be made payable to: Cheyney University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Ayo Gooden Imhotep Program in the memo line.
