Robert Wingerter, Vice Chairman Client Services, SCORE, will cover techniques to “Turn a Great Idea Into a Great Business” at the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC) program at Cheyney University on Wednesday, November 13. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground and grow to achieve their goals through education and mentorship.
The November 13 program is the final program in the 8-week series. The semester-long ELC Lecture Series this Fall focused on the question “Why Entrepreneurship” as part of its program to educate students on business ownership. All lectures begin at 6 pm and are free and open to the public. They are held in the UPS Conference Room in the New Residence Hall on Cheyney University’s campus.
The ELC program provides students access to material and human resources in support of launching a business, including one-on-one interactions with accomplished entrepreneurs and business leaders in mentoring relationships. Additionally, the program aims to place students on a path of civic responsibility by providing them wealth development strategies for themselves and their communities. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Center at Cheyney University was established in 2008 with a grant from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and additional funding was secured through the federal Title III program.
