Valiant Effort For CU at Collegiate Invitational

The Lady Wolves put up a quality effort at the West Chester University Collegiate Invitational. The meet was contested at Farrell Stadium.
Veronica Sweet and Jasmine Pitt finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 400 meter dash. Shanavia Thomas and Jasmine Carter finished one, two in the 100 meters in times of 12.52 and 12.63 respectively. Thomas also took home the gold in the 200 meters in a time of 25.99 and finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.04 m after passing on her final four attempts. Alean Rhodes finished fourth in the triple jump and team mate Taniqua Purdie finished sixth with efforts of 10.09 m and 9.32 m respectively. Ayasha Lyke took home a fifth place finish in the javelin with an effort of 27.16 m. Natasha Lyburn earned a bronze medal in the shot put with a mark of 10.95 m.
