Wolves Fall to Golden Rams

Despite 28 points by Jason Sabb the Cheyney Wolves fell 76-55 to cross town rival West Chester. Jerrod Johnson added 10 points.

West Chester was led by Lance McDowell who registered 25 points.

Leading 11-10 WCU went on a 9-1 midway through the first half to take a 20-11 lead from which they never surrendered. Cheyney was able to cut the deficit to five on a jumper by Jerrod Johnson before the Golden Rams extended the lead to nine at half-time.

The Wolves tried to stay close but WCUs Lance McDowell scored the first 12 points of the second half and the Wolves found themselves down 18 (49-31) with 11:13 remaining.

Cheyney ends the season on Saturday at East Stroudsburg.
