Wolves Falter at Slippery Rock

The Cheyney University defense held the Rock scoreless in the first quarter but in the second quarter Slippery Rock exploded for 23 points en route to a 54-0 victory.
The Wolves struggled offensively gaining 104 yards. Malcolm Hailstock led the way with 30 yards on five carries. Quarterbacks Chris Anderson and Malik Witten combined for three receptions for 31 yards.
Playing his first game Cam Wright returned five kick-offs for 101 yards including a long of 34 yards.
The Wolves were led on defense by Cory Brown. Brown led all players with 10 tackles.
Cheyney improved from last week, cutting their penalties by more than half.
The Wolves did win the time of possession. Cheyney held the ball for 31:33.
The Wolves are back in action next Saturday afternoon at Edinboro.
