Wright & Carter Take Home PSAC Weekly Honor

Kemuel “Cam” Wright and Simone Carter have been named the PSAC Indoor Track Athlete of Week. This is the first PSAC Indoor Track Honor of the Year and represents all efforts from the beginning of the season.

Wright won the 60-meter dash at the Princeton Invitational (12/10/11). Wright’s first place finish in 6.87 seconds was an NCAA D-II provisional qualifying time and currently ranks as the ninth fastest time in the country and the best in the PSAC. Prior to the Princeton meet he also took first place at the Bow – Tie Classic in the 200 meters.

Carter placed third at the Princeton Invitational(12/10/11) in the 60 meters. Her time of 7.71 in a predominantly D-I field is an NCAA provisional mark and currently the fifth best time in D-II this year as well as the top time in the PSAC. At the Bow - Tie Classic she posted a 7.81 in the 60 meters and a 26.32 in the 200 meters. She finished second in the 60 and won the 200.

Wright and Carter will be in action this weekend in Manhattan at the New York City College Series being held at the Armory.
