The Marcus Foster Student Center Auditorium welcome lunch overflowed with scores of newly accepted students and their families, as well as many Cheyney University staff members, for the July 9 Enrollment Day.  Among the crowd were Director of Alumni Relations Greg Benjamin, Coordinator of Student Engagement Tiffany Alexander, SCGA President Malik Williams, professors Jolly Ramakrishhnan and Dr. Ivan Turnipseed, and athletic personnel.  During their day-long visit, new students were encouraged to finish their paperwork and take the placement tests while parents received counseling about the financial aid process.

The Keystone Academy hosted an orientation on July 16 which began with an icebreaker and lunch at the Carnegie Great Room. Fifteen student prospects and their family members had an opportunity to meet faculty, advisors and upperclassmen. The Cheyney hosts helped with recommendations for classes and tips about how to succeed in the transition to college life. Attendees got to know each other, take placement tests and tour the campus with other students.

Additional orientations are planned for July 23, 30 and August 6.  Sports practices begin on August 15 and residence hall move-in begins on August 19.
