Concert Choir - A Tribute to Black Composers

In its first full, on-campus concert of the semester and in honor of Black History Month, the Cheyney Universiy Concert Choir will present "A Tribute to Black Composers". All of the music was written by Black composers including early composers R. Nathaniel Dett and William Dawson and living composers Carlos Simon and Robert Grant. The concert features the world premiere of Marques L. A. Garrett's new song cycle, "A Love Cycle," performed by the composer with pianist Toni Caldwell-Hall. Other highlights include student vocal soloists as well Toni Caldwell-Hall presenting solo piano works. This concert is free and open to the public.
