Public Relations and Constituent Services

Mission

The Office of Public Relations and Constituent Services is responsible for Cheyney University’s internal and external communications which promote and advance the University’s mission, vision and goals. These activities include the creation and distribution of media advisories, news releases, monthly newsletters, alumni magazine and the President’s Annual Report.

Members of the media seeking an official statement from the University must contact the Office of the President at (610) 399-2220.

Marketing

In addition, the Office of Public Relations and Constituent Services works with the Office of the President and the Media Advisory Team to promote the image, brand and mission of the University to internal and external constituencies.

Together, these offices and groups manage projects ranging from the creation of marketing and informational publications to communications about major media, sports and public relations activities. Our projects are prioritized by our mission, the potential impact on the University's institutional image, the strategic plan and the needs of the Office of the President and the Council of Trustees.

Media Advisory Team

The Media Advisory Team works alongside the Office of Public Relations and Constituent Services to promote and increase visibility and understanding to support the university's image, mission and vision. The Team works closely with the Office of Public Relations and Constituent Services to promote the events and advancement of the University to its constituents, community and target audiences.

Some of the functions of the team include advertising, brand management, internal & external publications and communications, design & creative services, website development, community & media relations, and special events.
