Writing Center Celebrates National African American Read-In on Feb. 28
February 16, 2012
This February is the 23rd National African American Read-In sponsored by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English.
The Writing Center in Baily 211 is hosting a Read-In on Tuesday Feb. 28 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Students are invited to bring a poem, book, play, or other work by favorite African American authors to read from and join us for an evening of literature and food.
Help to make Cheyney University’s annual Read-In a memorable event.
About the Writing Center: The Writing Center in Baily 211 is open Mon.-Thu. from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Staff is available to help students on a walk-in basis during those times or for scheduled appointments. They will assist at any step of the writing process, whether to brainstorm topics, work on an outline, a first draft or revising and editing. A consultation with a writing assistant can avoid stress and frustration later when papers are due.
