Keystone Senior, Ticia Watson, Up for Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence

Congratulations to Keystone Senior Ticia Watson on her selection as Cheyney University’s nominee for the 2012 Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence.  

In the summer of 2011Watson was an undergraduate researcher at the Center of Integrative Study of Animal Behavior at Indiana University in Bloomington,IN. The project merged her interests in psychology and the health sciences, and she worked with a renowned research team within the department of Psychology and Brain Sciences. 

Ticia worked on a research project at the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at Mississippi State University in the summer of 2010, and in 2009 she conducted research at the University of Georgia in the area of biochemistry.   Always on the lookout for ways to further develop her skills and professional experiences, Watson has pursued grants and scholarships so that she may attend several national conferences.  She was the recipient of a full scholarship to study abroad in the summer of 2011.
