Cheyney University Community Day Plans

Community Day at Cheyney University is planned for Saturday April 21 from 8 am to 2 pm. Activities are scheduled in the Cope Hall Gymnasium and O’Shields-Stevenson Stadium and will be held rain or shine, with cancellation planned only in the case of severe weather. Activities are free and open to the public.

Community Day begins with the 4th annual Thornbury 5K/10K race organized by the Delaware Valley Lions Club. This is an out and back race starting and ending at Cheyney For more information regarding the Thornbury 10K/5K, visit www.runccrs.com or www.dvlionsclub.org

Activities include the Thornbury 5K/10K Junior Races, Mini Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Moon Bounce, voter registration drive, face painting, a clown, exhibits, food and merchandise vendors, family entertainment and games, activities and resource information presented by University departments and student organizations.  In addition, the Cheyney University Football Team will hold its annual Blue and White Game (inter-squad scrimmage) at noon to complete the spring football practice season.  The game is free and open to the public.
