Black Classics Film Series Sharpens Cultural Literacy

The campus community is invited to join Dr. V. Nzingha Gaffin & Dr. Hazel Spears Tuesdays Nights At the Movies in Duckrey 210. Planned for Tuesday nights starting March 27 through the end of the semester, the films run from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Settle in with complimentary refreshments and learn history and cultural literacy from Professors Gaffin and Spears.

The schedule includes
March 27       Carmen Jones  (1954)
                      starring Dorothy Dandridge, Harry Belafonte, Pearl Bailey and Diahann Carroll
April 3            A Soldier Story (1984)
                       starring Howard E. Rollins and Adolph Caesar, screenplay by Charles Fuller
April 10          Anna Lucasta (1958)
                       starring Eartha Kitt & Sammy Davis, Jr.

Other films are scheduled and will be announced in the future.
